Step 1: THE JOURNEY

THE JOURNEY is a preliminary information sheet expressing your interest to serve Muslims. Completing the Journey is not a commitment, it simply begins a dialogue between you and Frontiers. Contact us and we'll send the information sheet to you.

Important Note: Please discuss your interest in serving Muslims with your church's leadership and family. The sooner they are aware of God's possible leading in your life, the better equipped they are to help nurture your calling.

Step 2: APPLICATION (applications are not available online)

If you, your Sending Church and Frontiers feel you have potential within the next few years for fruitful service to Muslims, we will ask you to complete the appropriate application and provide references.

Action Steps:

• Communicate with potential teams (possibly visit them overseas)
• Participate in Candidate School.

Step 4: APPOINTEE

You become an Appointee when:

• A Frontiers team leader has invited you to join their team
• Your Sending Church provides their written endorsement
• You sign your team's Memo of Understanding (MOU), agreeing to that particular team's vision, values, policies and requirements
• Administrative requirements have been met such as a ministry budget etc.

Action Steps:

• Ministry Partner Development
• Finish team requirements
• Determine your position/job and where you will will live in your overseas country
• Pack and prepare for departure

Step 5: FRONTIERS MEMBER

You now join your team at the sending base or overseas. If joining a team overseas, you will most likely spend your first few years in full-time relationship building, language learning and cultural adaptation.

On the Field:
Frontiers is field governed by its Team Leaders, allowing the teams to be semi- autonomous. As a result, Frontiers provides a unique structure for team accountability.
